Linkage of Effects to Tissue Residues : Development of a Comprehensive Database for Aquatic Organisms Exposed to Inorganic and Organic Chemicals (Setac Technical Publications Series)
Editorial Reviews
Book Description
This book evaluates the current effect/tissue-residue literature as a basis for developing an extensive database of effect/tissue-residue data for aquatic organisms (invertebrates, fishes, amphibians). The criteria for data incorporation includes the use of measured tissue-residue concentrations and effects endpoints that consist of, or are directly related to, survival, growth, and reproduction of test organisms. The database contains more than 3,000 entries regarding approximately 200 different chemicals from about 500 references. The information contained in this book will be an invaluable resource for use in ecological risk assessments and for the systematic investigation of hypotheses related to effect/tissue-residue relationships.
