1993 Overall, I found this to be a useful introduction and reference book for the Paleozoic of some of the Gondwana continents. Each chapter was generally well written and included an extensive bibliography for the region.

I highly recommend this book to paleozoic buffs and the general reader interested in this important part of Earth history and look forward to future books in this series. Libraries should certainly be encouraged to buy a copy, because it provides an invaluable data bank that will stand for many years.
